Specialized spaces that bring together experts, companies and authorities to discuss and generate proposals on key issues for the Switzerland-Mexico bilateral agenda.

A space for analysis and collaboration

The thematic committees of the Swiss-Mexican Chamber are working platforms that address strategic areas such as sustainability, health, innovation, trade and energy. Through the active participation of affiliated companies and experts, recommendations, projects and best practices are generated that strengthen cooperation and add value to both companies and the bilateral relationship.

Collaborative work structure

The thematic committees are organized as permanent groups for dialogue and collaboration, with regular sessions and an agenda defined according to the interests of the members.

Through our affiliation program, we represent and accompany Swiss and Mexican companies with Swiss ties, generating dialogue, cooperation and economic development.

SwissCham Mexico Thematic Committees

The thematic committees bring together executives from Swiss companies in different sectors to share best practices, exchange contacts and present the challenges faced by Swiss companies in Mexico.

Human Resources and Dual Training Committee

It brings together Human Resources Directors to discuss labor issues such as labor reforms, working conditions, talent recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, outsourcing, training, youth programs, as well as the promotion of the dual training model.

Audit and Finance Committee

It brings together CFOs of Swiss companies to discuss economic and financial issues, macroeconomic indicators, growth and investment prospects. It also manages the tax subcommittee to address tax issues in more detail.

Fiscal Affairs Subcommittee

It brings together tax experts from Swiss companies (Tax Directors) to discuss challenges and opportunities in taxation and tax matters. They discuss tax miscellaneous, share best practices and contacts between companies and participate in events organized by the tax authorities.

Social Responsibility and Ethics Committee

It brings together managers of social responsibility or corporate communications to share values, best practices, projects and programs regarding the contributions of companies to social, economic and cultural development in Mexico. It also addresses issues related to the United Nations 2030 Agenda, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Consortium for the Wellbeing of Mexico.

Foreign Trade Committee

It brings together commercial and logistics managers to cover topics such as trade policies, imports and exports, customs, government regulations and free trade agreements such as the FTA-EFTA. In addition, visits are organized to the facilities of institutions such as ANAM or areas of interest such as airport facilities.

Energy and Sustainability Committee

It brings together representatives of companies to exchange best practices on energy issues, promote sustainability through the most advanced technologies, including renewable energy and energy efficiency and the application of standards that go beyond Mexican national regulations. It also promotes the exchange of dialogue with key players in the Mexican energy and environmental sector.

Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property Committee

It brings together the Legal Directors of Swiss companies to address issues of economic competition, data protection and privacy, combating counterfeiting and piracy, government regulation, as well as ethics, anti-corruption and transparency issues. It also promotes and defends intellectual property systems that encourage bilateral trade, promote investment in innovation and ensure a favorable intellectual property framework.

Health and Innovation Committee

It brings together company executives to generate concrete proposals based on best practices and scientifically rigorous information to improve the health, technology and innovation system in Mexico. It also serves as a platform to participate in the development and influence public policies related to health in Mexico.

Security Committee

It brings together managers in charge of security in Swiss companies to share best practices in corporate security issues, address risk situations and promote security through advanced technologies and systems derived from best practices. It also seeks to influence public policy on security issues as a guild and to share contacts among members.

Regulatory Affairs Committee

Its main objective is to share best practices and challenges faced by Swiss companies in the regulatory and sanitary sector, as well as to generate relationships with the regulatory and sanitary authorities in Mexico, such as COFEPRIS.

Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 Committee

It brings together production managers and plant managers to share challenges and solutions in the manufacturing sector. It also addresses Industry 4.0 and innovation to make plant management more efficient.
